KO OLINA TASTE AT KAPOLEI CELEBRATES ITS 12TH ANNIVERSARY

Popular Culinary Event to Feature More than 20 Local Restaurants,
Live Entertainment and a Silent Auction
WHAT:
Ko Olina Taste at Kapolei, an all-you-can-eat scholarship fundraiser on the beach at Ko Olina Resort, will be celebrating its 12th Anniversary with Oahu's top restaurants and chefs, along with live entertainment and a silent auction.
More than 20 restaurants will be participating in this year's event, INCLUDING Ruth's Chris Steak House; Romano's Macaroni Grill; Gordon Biersch; Formaggio's Wine Bar & Grill; Longboards at Ko Olina; Big City Diner; Soul (Sean Priester); Tanioka's Seafood & Catering; Auntie Pasto's; Thai Kitchen; Hapa Grill; Hana Sushi; Da Pokeman Fish Market; Da Spot; A Cup of Tea; Cake Envy; Blazin Steaks Atkinson/Kuloko Kine LLC; Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville; Just Tacos Mexican Grill & Cantina; Ka'aha'aina Café; Roy's at Ko Olina; Starbucks; and Waipahu High School's Culinary Arts Program.
Live musical entertainment will be provided by A Touch of Gold and Hawaiian vocalist Mailani Makainai. Also, Hawaiian-style entertainer Lopaka Brown will perform in the "tiki-themed" VIP tent. The night will conclude with fireworks at 9 p.m.
Proceeds from the popular culinary event go to college scholarships for high-achieving students from West Oahu. Since its inception in 2000, the event has raised an estimated $1 million to fund scholarships.
