KO OLINA RESORT

OAHU’S TOP DESTINATION RESORT COMMUNITY

An Oceanfront ‘Place of Joy’ on West Oahu
Ko Olina Resort is a thriving beachfront resort and residential community on the quiet Western shores of Oahu. What had long been a sleepy retreat with great fishing and compelling surf beaches nestled against the lush Waianae Mountains is no longer an insider’s secret: this world-class destination that is a green oasis just 17 miles from cosmopolitan Honolulu has taken its place on the global stage.

Here, in an expansive setting more reminiscent of a neighbor island getaway, you will find every contemporary comfort and an inviting outdoor lifestyle. Amenities include championship golf, a full-service marina, a prime stretch of white sand beach and seven sparkling ocean lagoons ringed by pathways for strolling, running and biking.

Ko Olina continues to set new standards for luxury vacation resorts with the 2011 opening of Disney’s first resort in Hawaii. Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa joins the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa, gracious oceanfront wedding chapels, a popular luau show and more, to further enhance Hawaii’s most engaging visitor destination.

Six different residential communities offer a compelling range of options for couples and families, from fairway townhomes and plantation-style cottages to luxury condominiums and single family homes, golf estates and beachfront villas. The move toward residential resort living has been so successful that Marriott Vacation Club International opened a 750-villa luxury vacation ownership project, Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club. Aulani will feature 480 Disney Vacation Club timeshare villas.

Dynamic population growth in the surrounding region provides Ko Olina visitors and residents with numerous leisure, shopping, and recreational amenities, including a wide choice of golf courses and water sports.

Ko Olina At a Glance
The master-planned Ko Olina Resort spans over 642 acres with sweeping ocean and mountain views and a string of jewel-like lagoons and white sand beaches connected by more than a mile and a half of seaside pathways. Ko Olina maintains an air of majestic seclusion, belying its convenient proximity to the bustle of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki.

Ko Olina Marina has 330 full-service slips catering to both sport fishing and recreational boaters and the ability to accommodate vessels up to 200 feet in length. The private marina provides all the services a mariner could expect or dream of from a world-class facility.

The Ko Olina Golf Club is the place to play on Oahu and has been selected by Golf Digest as one of the “Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S.” Designed by Ted Robinson, the course provides large landing areas perfect for resort guests and can also be played as a true championship course from the back tees. From 1990-1995, the Ko Olina Golf Club hosted the LPGA’s Hawaiian Ladies Open, the Ko Olina Senior PGA Invitational in 1992, and from 2006-2008, the Fields Open in Hawaii LPGA event.

The Ko Olina Clubhouse symbolizes all the aspirations of the resort. Approximately 35,000 square feet, the clubhouse is characterized by its tri-level design and Hawaiian pitched roofs. Roy’s Ko Olina, featuring the Hawaiian fusion cuisine of internationally acclaimed Hawaii Regional Cuisine chef Roy Yamaguchi, provides an ideal setting for lunch and dinner with spectacular views of the course and landscape.

Ko Olina Station and Ko Olina Center are two mixed-use lifestyle centers located adjacent to the old OR&L Railway line. Designed to be a community meeting place, Ko Olina Station and Ko Olina Center feature service and resort retail stores and restaurants, an ABC Stores Country Market and the soon-to-open Wyland Grille.

Where to Stay
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts is developing a mixed-use family resort at Ko Olina on 21 oceanfront acres. Opening in August 2011, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa will overlook a crystal blue lagoon and white sand beach. It will include 350 hotel rooms and 480 Disney Vacation Club timeshare villas as well as an 18,000-square-foot spa, a children’s club, wedding lawn and an expansive pool with a water play area.

One look at the cascading architecture, breathtaking vantages, and glass-domed atrium crowning the lobby tells you that the 387-room JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa at Ko Olina is a centerpiece of the resort. The property’s ingenious architecture enables 85 percent of the rooms a broad view of the ocean and allows guests to literally live on the beach, or merely soak in the rays of Oahu’s famous golden sunsets.

The oceanfront Ko Olina Beach Villas Resort offers elegant residential accommodations perfect for family vacations. Each two- or three-bedroom villa includes ocean views, spacious lanais, state-of-the-art kitchens and designer furnishings, and access to all of the resort’s amenities, including sandy beach lagoons, a fitness center and lagoon and lap pools.

Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club is Marriott Vacation Club International’s first resort on Oahu. Situated on 30 acres overlooking Ko Olina’s Nai‘a lagoon, the luxury property offers 778 one- two- and three-bedroom lock-off villas that reflect the gracious, warm hospitality of a Hawaiian plantation, four pools, a spa, restaurants and shopping arcade.

Ko Olina is known as Honolulu's premier resort destination, combining the seclusion and prestige of a resort community with the proximity to Hawaii's business and cultural center. Ko Olina brings together the best of Hawaii's weather, ocean and outdoor activities and spirit of Aloha. For more information, visit www.koolina.com.
